Bitmine accelerates ETH staking strategy
Ethereum treasury firm Bitmine (BMNR) continued its aggressive staking activity this morning, depositing approximately 82,560 ETH into the Ethereum proof-of-stake contract.
The latest transaction, recorded roughly two hours ago on-chain, is valued at around $259 million based on current market prices.
$1.7 billion staked within a week
Since beginning its ETH staking initiative on December 27, Bitmine has now deposited a cumulative total of 544,064 ETH into the network within just one week.
At current valuations, these deposits are worth approximately $1.7 billion.
Share of total holdings
The staked amount represents about 13.2% of Bitmine’s total ETH treasury, which is estimated at roughly 4.11 million ETH. The figures indicate a clear strategic shift toward generating yield on a portion of its large Ethereum balance.
