Coinbase Launches Zero-Fee Subscription Service Coinbase One
Coinbase has officially launched its highly anticipated subscription service, Coinbase One, offering members zero trading fees and a suite of premium features. After remaining in beta since 2021, the service is now expanding beyond the United States to key international markets, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Ireland.
What Coinbase One Offers
Priced at $29.99 per month, Coinbase One provides users with:
- Zero trading fees on eligible transactions (up to a set trading volume limit)
- 24/7 dedicated phone support
- $1 million account protection
- Pre-filled Form 8949 for Coinbase Taxes
- Higher staking rewards on supported assets
The subscription can be paid via a linked bank account (ACH) or debit card, and renews automatically unless canceled.
Coinbase clarified that while users pay no direct trading fees, a small spread in the price remains applied to all buys, sells, and conversions. The zero-fee benefit also excludes Coinbase Pro’s order-matching platform, which operates under a different fee structure.
Expanding to 35 Countries
Coinbase plans to extend Coinbase One access to a total of 35 countries as part of its ongoing international expansion. The rollout is a key step in the company’s strategy to reach a wider audience of global traders and investors.
This expansion follows Coinbase’s launch of a global crypto exchange in April, which came amid growing regulatory challenges in the United States. The exchange aims to provide more accessible and compliant trading options for international customers.
